Best known for playing Brigitta Von Trapp in “The Sound of Music,” Cartwright began acting in 1956 with her first role in “Somebody Up There Likes Me.” From 1957 to 1964, she starred as Linda Williams in “Make Room for Daddy” and as Penny Robinson in “Lost in Space” from 1965 to 1968. Cartwright has also authored five books and co-writes a bi-annual journal called Pasticcio quartz.
