TEMPO.CO, Boston – The Boston Blast indeed has caused a widespread panic in the United States, even for those away from where the explosion occurred, including the passengers of American Airlines flight number 1716 that was scheduled to take Boston – Chicago route.
The flight was delayed after a passenger reported to have heard two other passengers speaking in Arabic, therefore forcing the pilot to return to the gate instead of taking off.
My Fox Boston wrote that "the officers took the men off board, yet no details were published."
Another incident occured on a US Airways flight from Philadelphia to Boston. The plane was put on hold at the runway after a report said that there was a bag unchecked by airport security in Philadelphia. Not only that, La Guardia airport in New York once ordered an evacuation after receiving a report of two suspicious bottles in the airport.
