Evelyn was a graduate of Booker T. Washington High School. She was retired from Norfolk Public Schools Nutrition Center. She was a faithful, long serving member of St Mark RZUA Church where she served on the Deaconess Board, Bonner Ushers Board and the Sunday School Board. She loved children and have blessed so many along the way. She was loved by many.
Evelyn Coleman McElrath 80, passed into eternal peace August 13, 2019. She entered this life on July 12, 1939 to the late Mildred and George Coleman Sr. Evelyn was predeceased by her husband, Charles Henry McElrath, Sr., her sisters, Shirley Thomas; Yvette Coleman and her brothers George Coleman, Jr.; Ervin Coleman. She leaves to cherish her memory, daughter, Cheryl Roulhac; son, Charles Henry McElrath Jr. (Rhonda), four sisters, Carolyn Coleman, Irene Foy (George), Brenda Bellamy (Octavious), Sandra Speller; four grandchildren, Corey Roulhac, Tawanda Noble, Chelcie McElrath and Corbin McElrath; 4 great grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends
