Marc Mero, a retired professional wrestler and amateur boxer, has a net worth of $3 million. He was born in Buffalo, New York in July 1960 and started playing hockey at an early age. In high school, his football team won the New York State Title. He started training as a boxer with Golden Gloves coach Ray Rinaldi and won four New York State titles, including the New York Golden Gloves tournament. Mero broke his nose in an accident which sidelined his boxing career. He decided to become a professional wrestler and started in 1991 at the Floridian Sun Coast Professional Wrestling promotion.

Mero was known as Johnny B. Badd while in World Championship Wrestling where he won the WCW World Television Championship three times. He wrestled for the World Wrestling Federation from 1996 to 1999 under the names “Wildman” Marc Mero and “Marvelous” Marc Mero and won the Intercontinental Championship. He also appeared with the X Wrestling Federation and Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA). Mero was married to wrestler Rena “Sable” Mero from 1994 to 2004 and married Darlene Spezzi in 2009.

In 2007, he started the nonprofit organization Champion of Choices.
