Constantinos Menounos is the dad of actress Maria Menounos. Constantinos is a modest American man originally from Greece.
Menounos lived with his wife and two children in Medford, Massachusetts, and later moved to California to live with her daughter who went on to pursue her career.
As he is from Greece, he wanted his children to have knowledge related to the culture so he taught them the language and sent them to an Orthodox Church.
Maria stated in an interview that her baba was the proudest American but also proud of his roots. They grew up saving all their spare change to visit Greece. It was important to him and she and her brother were connected to their language and traditions. They finally visited Greece for her wedding and spent a month in Akovos.
Constantinos is extremely close to his daughter. He was diagnosed with Type-1 Diabetes more than 50 years before and her daughter has been playing the role of his caretaker since she was a young child.
With his condition and blood sugar attacks, Constantinos has been critical a few times. He had to be hospitalized on various occasions and the whole family was scared about his future. After some time, as he began to change his eating habits and other changes in his life, his condition has come under control. The journey as a diabetic patient has inspired his daughter to become an advocate and participate in various charity works supporting diabetes research.

According to Marias Instagram post, Constantinos celebrates his birthday on June 20.
She wished him on his birthday and stated that these five years had been tough for him and he had handled it well. He became a caretaker for his wife and was nurturing as well as loving. She added that she was so proud of how strong he is and was grateful to spend every minute together.
